Government of Canada to Launch First Arctic Satellite Ground Station
INUVIK, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES--(Marketwire - Aug. 6, 2010) - On Tuesday, August 10, Natural Resources Canada, along with partners, will inaugurate the state-of-the-art Inuvik Satellite Station Facility. Also attending the event will be Northwest Territories Premier Floyd Roland, Denny Rodgers, Mayor of the Town of Inuvik, Ryan Johnson, Chairman of PrioraNet Canada Inc., and a representative of the German Aerospace Centre.
The Inuvik Satellite Station Facility will provide access to important new sources of Earth observation data for scientists and governments for use both in Canada and internationally.
