New Badr 5 Satellite Activating Transponders
A dozen Arabsat satellite repeaters are broadcasting and more or less active in a testing period at the orbital position of 26 degrees East with a Middle East, northern Africa and parts of Spain coverage.
The transponders are operational for 10 730-V frequencies MHz H 10 730-MHz, 11 240-V MHz MHz 11 280-V, V 11 318-MHz, 11 355-MHz V, V 11 395-MHz, 11 432-MHz V and 11 471-MHz H.
In all cases, the transponders are turned on a Symbol Rate 27500 and FEC 3 / 4.
Fujairah Media, Jordan Media City, Du, and Al Kass IRIB are the different operators, all of them Arabs, who are spreading their services through the new Badr 5 satellite.
The Badr 5 has the distinction of having a beam to get coverage that allows a level of 53 dB in areas of southern Spain.
